Timothy Cowthorn, D.O. - Gynecology

Greystone OB/Gyn Timothy N. Cowthorn, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, is specially-trained with the da Vinci surgical system. He specializes in high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, he takes a holistic approach and looks at the whole person in making a diagnosis and determining treatment. He studied Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlanta Medical Center and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth. He received his Master of Science in Public Health and his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Cowthorn is currently the Department Chairman of ObGyn at Rockdale Medical Center and serves on the Medical Executive Committee. |

Advanced Gynecology Associates Holly Imlach, MD, has been using the daVinci robotic system since 2006. She earned her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA. Dr. Imlach completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006, and went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced Pelvic Surgery in Atlanta, GA. She specializes in the comprehensive evaluation, recognition and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive and urogenital systems. She has been a member of the Medical Staff at Rockdale Medical Center since 2007, and is the founding member of Advanced Gynecology Associates, located in Conyers, GA. |
Bert Chen, M.D. - Urology

Georgia Urology, P.A. 4142 N. Mill Street Bert Chen, M.D., is an associate of Georgia Urology, P.A. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Chen obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale University. He earned his medical degree at Medical College of Georgia where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical school honor society. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Michigan. He has published and presented research in the field of urologic oncology, including prostate cancer and surgical techniques. He has experience in laparoscopy and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of benign and malignant urologic disease. Dr. Chen's areas of interest in addition to general urology include stone disease, female urology, and urologic oncology. |
Matthew Burrell, M.D. - Gynecology

Southeastern Gynecologic Oncology, LLC Dr. Burrell is a native of Winnipeg, Canada. He studied Gynecologic Oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center & Tumor Institute in Houston and Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital here in Atlanta. He became a Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologist in 1983. Dr. Burrell is an active member of the Felix Rutledge Society, named for the founding father of gynecologic oncology. |
